I am unable to add Scout to Apple Find My app

Under any circumstances DO NOT attempt to remove the Scout from the iOS Bluetooth device list to resolve the connection. This will break the bonded/encrypted connection to the Scout.

Firstly, note that pairing mode for Find My is only active for 10 minutes after connecting the Scout to a charger. If pairing mode has expired and you are add the Scout in the Find My app, reconnect the Scout to a charger to begin pairing mode again.

At any point in time, connecting the Scout to a charger will establish pairing mode for 10 minutes - you will hear a tone to indicate that the Scout is connected and charging. If the Scout is already connected to a charger, disconnect and then reconnect the charger.

If this doesn’t allow the Scout to be added to Find My, force close the Find My app and reopen it.

In some cases, restarting your iPhone after connecting the Scout to power is necessary to reset pairing mode.
